700 kilometer connections
The world's hardest MTB ride
700 tough kilometers. Unique wilderness. Blood Sweat and tears. Friendship for life.
Norrøna OF700k Team
Offroad Finnmark 700 km is widely regarded as the world’s longest and toughest mountain bike race. Here, you’ll ride through true wilderness and the heart of the Sami region—a landscape that has been used for hunting, fishing, and reindeer herding for thousands of years.
This is a ride that combines a spectacular nature experience with a sporting challenge you’re unlikely to find anywhere else. You’ll cycle through endless expanses, across marshes, along rivers, and up more elevation than most people associate with Finnmark—all bathed in the unique Arctic light that lasts around the clock at this time of year.
The 700-kilometer route is ridden continuously from start to finish and passes through up to five municipalities. Along the way, you’ll pass 10–12 staffed checkpoints.
To be able to accomplish such a feat, proper nutrition, recovery, and rest are essential. That is why Offroad Finnmark places great emphasis on providing well-stocked checkpoints with hot and cold food, drinks, rest areas, and necessary services.
The checkpoints are located at mountain lodges, wilderness centers, and community centers—right in the heart of the Finnmark wilderness—and are run by our wonderful volunteers.
The volunteers do everything they can to help you succeed. Among other things, they offer technical support, bike washing, practical assistance, and care throughout the entire race. Their goal is simple: to give you the best possible experience. It’s an effort that most participants remember long after they’ve crossed the finish line.
Age restriction: 18 years old. (You can participate if you turn 18 during the year of the event.)
