Finnmarksvidda is an enormous mountain expanse that is part of Europe's largest wilderness area. The cycling that goes through the heart of our beautiful Sami areas takes place largely on old post roads and paths, close to the wildlife, and sweeps past several of the unique small communities that still live in close interaction with nature.

It never gets dark during Offroad Finnmark. At midnight, the sun dips just below the horizon and casts magical light over the landscape. The combination of arctic nature and personal service from a large corps of volunteers is Offroad Finnmark's trademark. Finnmarksvidda as an attraction and Norway, Finnmark and Alta as a mountain bike destination have great potential. It is said that Offroad Finnmark becomes a part of you and makes you who you are. And it is described as one of the most raw things one can experience, a beautiful journey that lasts and lasts long after the ride has ended.

Cycling journalist Vidar Petterson from Gruppetto Cykkelsport and has 40 years of experience from most cycling environments, followed Offroad Finnmark for 14 days in the summer of 2022. Vidar describes his meeting with Offroad Finnmark as follows:
