Volunteer Hall of Fame

2017: Stian Granshagen

Through his work at our partner Finnmark Motorsenter, Stian Granshagen has had a key role in the ATV logistics. He does a fantastic job both in advance, during and after the race, to ensure painless delivery of the vital vehicles. And that’s not enough! Together with his wife Helene Granshagen, he drives Jotka checkpoint on the OF150 as well as 300 and 700. With his positive attitude and good mood nothing is a problem for Stian. An important man for Offroad Finnmark and Finnmark Motorsenter. We hope to have him with us for many years to come. Along with his wife Helene of course 🙂

2016: Geir Elde

Geir and Offroad Finnmark has a common soul, he lives and breathes for the development of quality and experiences. He is always faithful, helpful and always give constructive feedback. He is one of the most significant competence providers throughout the years in terms of long-term and positive contributions, theoretical and practical. Geir has been involved and engaged in Offroad Finnmark for many years. He is one of those who comes first and leave last. He is passionate about the trail committee and has got his own name to parts of the trail; Eldes U-turn – loved and feared by the bikers. He has been the checkpoint manager for Bojobæski for several years.

2015: Benjamin Ellingsen

Benjamin has been involved as a volunteer at least for two years. In 2015 he did a great job at the rider accommodation at Sandfallet School. He is gentle and service-oriented – and makes a big effort – also in relation to his relatively young age 🙂 Photo: Rebekka Ellingsen (private)

2014: Georg Andre Jungård

George stabbed his nose in to our office in Løkkeveien a while before OffroadFinnmark was about to start. He asked if he could help with anything. YES! Since then he was everywhere, all the time! Positive, committed, solution-oriented are just some of the words we can say about Georg. He has promised that he will volunteer in 2015, but by 2016 he will ride for himself.

2013: Sylvi Johansen and Maria Thomassen

Through her daughter (Logistics Manager Linn Johansen), Sylvi Johansen has been with us more or less from the start. She has worked around at checkpoints and this year she was at Jotka Mountain Lodge. In addition, she together with Linn made the food for the riders. Also, her husbond, Thor Arnfred, is volunteer in Offroad Finnmark, so it is as we see many other times a proper family project. Maria has been in for two years, both times as responsible for the accommodation at Gakori School. There she does a terrific effort and does everything for visiting riders. We received the following greetings from Erik Skovgaard Knudsen (of700 winner): «It’s always hard to designate one and this is especially true for Offroadfinnmark, because it was ALL wonderful and deserves thanks and praise! But for us, Marias efforts were particularly valuable. She was always there for us and I never think I experienced her say no to a task or leave a question unclear. «

2012: Harald Opgård

Harald is a gentleman who takes every challenge. He has a real desire to contribute to making Offroad Finnmark an ultimate experience for riders and support. He is resourceful, dutyful and, not least, in a good mood. He is also a great ambassador for Finnmark, and he has really earned this year’s volunteer award.

2011: Jarl Arild Dahle

Faithful helper over several years. It’s simply impossible to get this man to say no. During the ride, he is found at the secretariat – both day and night.
